A flat to gently rolling course leaving from Sun King Kokomo Brewery that will take you past or through several north central Indiana landmarks and back to a brick road finish. This is traditionally a very HOT ride so bring plenty of water!
Over 30 years and still rolling, 2023 marks the 38th annual Sizzling ride! Setting out from Kokomo, multiple bike event routes (approximately 40, 60 & 80 mile routes) are available including a 100-mile century bicycle tour. Taking advantage of the best road conditions for the year, the road cycling routes cover gently rolling Indiana “hills” along lightly traveled roads and wooded creeks, between farmland, and through some of the small towns of Howard County, Indiana.

This annual rain, shine, snow, or freeze New Year’s Day bicycle ride is the highlight of mid-winter cycling in the north-central Indiana region since 1970! Please review 2021 event accommodations and restrictions due to COVID-19.
Over 30 years and still rolling!! All routes have full service SAG stops featuring great food, homemade treats, and drinks. Experienced roving SAG’s including bike mechanic support. A detailed map of all routes will be provided. Expertly marked routes of approximately 44, 62, 80 and 100 miles.
One of the Break-Away Bike Club’s yearly favorites. This year the 2020 ride will be virtual and unsupported. This is traditionally a very hot ride, so drink plenty of water!
