ABOUT THE RIDE
Some people would call you crazy if you told them you were going to go on a bike ride on January 1st. Others would call you a polar bear! If you don't feel like riding, come enjoy the fire and start the year off right!
This annual New Year’s Day bicycle ride is the highlight of mid-winter cycling in the north-central Indiana region since 1970! This is a rain, shine, snow, freeze event with route lengths varying with rider motivation. Even if you don't feel nuts enough to go do some winter cycling, come ride and start the year off right! Riders will receive various swag.
All cyclists are encouraged to post pictures before and after their rides on social media! Make them public and include #BABCPolarBear

Registration is available through multiple options:
Pre-register by mail through December 15 for $30 USD
Pre-register online through December 30 for $30 USD
Register onsite for $35 on January 1
Continental Breakfast & Lunch are included!
Join the Break Away Bicycle Club or renew your membership at the Polar Bear Ride and save $5.00 on your annual dues!
Early registration through Dec 15 includes souvenir long sleeve T-shirt
First T-Shirt is $10, additional shirts $20
